Activity Check



Activity Check

Activity is checked once each month. All activity date-stamped up to 11:59 PM Pacific on the last day of the AC month (e.g., 31st of October, 30th of April, 31st of December) will count. Activity made after this cut-off point will not count towards the current AC. Activity Check can be posted at any time during the month.

Activity Check closes on the 5th at 11:59 PM PST (6th at 2:59 AM Eastern/6:59 AM GMT/7:59 AM BST/timezone converter).

There will be no warning list, but mods will post a reminder to complete AC on the 3rd on the OOC Community, Discord, and Plurk. If you do not respond to AC before the cut-off, you will receive one courtesy reminder to respond within 24-hrs. After that, characters will be swept from the game. If your character is swept for AC, you must wait at least two application cycles to reapply.

If you are on hiatus, this will be automatically accounted for. Feel free to check-in, but it is not a requirement.

Activity Check requires any ONE of the following proofs each month:

  • 10 comments from your character (log and/or network).
  • An open top-level on an event or log/network post. The top-level proof may ONLY be used for top-levels posted in the AC month.
  • A tag or thread (of any length) showing a character has ICly shared the results of a Dogtown Search Request with at least one other character who was not involved in the search. The spirit of this option is that we would like characters to ICly share potential plot information with one another.
  • If a player is organizing and running a Player Plot in a particular month, they may provide evidence of this (OOC posts, mod communications, a log set up for others to use) as evidence of game activity.

You May

  • Check-in for your first month.
  • Use inbox threads for proofs.
  • Use TDM threads as proofs.
  • Combine two threads to reach the 10-count comments requirement.

You May Not

  • Submit a proof for AC that you have used in a previous month.
  • Submit proofs that are dated outside the AC month. Please note that while AC is checked from the 1st to the 5th, all AC proofs must be from the AC month. E.g., April AC proofs must be dated from 1 - 30 April. Proofs that include dates in May are not valid for April.

Please create a top-level on this post with your name and comment beneath that for your character. Please use the month and year to indicate the AC period you are submitting proofs for.

If you're unable to make AC, you may take a strike. You are allowed 1 strike per 4 month period. Strikes and hiatuses may not be taken consecutively. If there are extenuating circumstances that arise, please contact the mods, and we'll discuss any accommodations you might need given the situation.

The following forms may be used for either Check-in or Regular AC, as appropriate.

First Time Check-in AC - For your first time responding to AC.

Check-in AC - For hiatus, or during special holiday months.

Regular AC - For your standard months.
