Player Plots

Player plots are plots that have a large enough reach to require some sort of sign up, or would be difficult for those not directly involved to ignore, or need some sort of NPC/mod involvement.

Examples of player plots include:

Actions that would negatively affect 4-or-more PCs.

Death of a PC.

Death of a named NPC.

Death of more than 1 unnamed NPC at the same time.

Significant property damage.

A PC gaining powers as a result of aligning with a patron Entity.

Anything that could potentially expose the supernatural to the wider world.

Please submit player plots at least a week or two in advance of when you'd like to run it. In the event something happens suddenly that would escalate to a player plot, please let us know as soon as possible.

Plot Type: Personal for now, but will rope others in if it seems to be going somewhere.
Plot Summary: Piggybacking off of the investigation into Ava/Amber, once Gloucester has been restored to 21st Century connectivity, Yelena is going to start doing some research into Copernicus in general, and Zyrian Steel in specific, looking at how often they seem to benefit (either financially or in PR) from moving into areas that have seen recent disaster. If possible, she'd like to pull old case records of averted apocalypse rituals to see how many of these incidents follow known supernatural events.
Questions: Is there a pattern of Copernicus as a company or Steel as an individual benefitting from disasters, or being involved in the aftermath of near apocalypses?

While some of the details of the rituals are redacted in what she can look at, she’ll be able to see that only a few follow known supernatural events, some of them have very subtle or even easily explained lead ups.

Copernicus is not at all of them or even most of them, but a few have footnotes on files during the company’s involvement in or offer of aid. They seem to show up most often in relation to assisting where it would actually make sense for a company like that to help. They're clearly strategic in their assistance, not just throwing themselves at everything. During her search, a sharp eye might notice the mention of Quicksilver here and there in older records, though their name drops off five or so years ago

Steel himself has only come up directly once or twice. He’s a busy man! Those times his name has been mentioned, it’s been in ‘additional aid’ or calling on others to offer help during larger scale events, supernatural or otherwise.

Is there any pattern to the mentions of Quicksilver? Events related to particular entities, for example, or young female avatars or cultists?

There’s no particular avatar mentioned in reference to Quicksilver. Their influence seems meager at best and their help limited to experimental sound therapies and technologies. There seems to be more mention of suspected Buried involvement in the cases they show up in, but only by a couple mentions out of an already small pool.
