Hi there! I have questions about 2 different things with characters, one very specific and one more general about allowed canon points:
1. I have one character who is basically human, except his brain has been "upgraded" with cybernetic enhancements. They don't give him any special "powers," except some software that allows him to process things like microexpressions and body language well, so he's really good at reading people, but that's about it when disconnected from his network in his own universe, which obviously he would be in game--the main point of the cybernetics at all was to connect him to a network that allowed him to access information with a thought and send text messages with his brain, basically, and to communicate with his AI "gods." But he disabled his connection in the network before the point he'd be coming in, anyway. So--he's not a powered character, but his brain is basically future tech. How would/could that work? He's from a cosmic horor canon, so I think he'd be a good fit, but I don't know if he can live if. his cybernetics simply stop working--it is his brain and controls his body, still.
2. When considering canon points for characters to enter the game is "pre-canon" canon allowed. For example, for the chsracter I'm thinking of here: The show starts 15 years after an apocalypse, so is firmly post-apocalyptic, but a lot of the show consists of flashbacks from before the apocalypse or shortly thereafter, showing who characters were before the world ended or how they adapted and survived immediately after. Is it posible in such a situation to choose one of the flashbacks as the character's entering canon point? There's enough material and info to see who he was and come up with personality and reactions.
